Can anyone give me some tips on creating the dubstep growl sound. I think I'm close but I'm still missing something

Try experimenting with square patterns on the LFO. Honestly, I haven't heard anyone achieve a good dubstep "growl" sound on here yet. Most people use a distorted bass synth with VCF, which ends up sounding more like a cat purring.

I either use the dense bass and screw around with the cutoff. Or i use the new 5 bit razor synth and screw with that cutoff. Or a distorted guitar. Any of those work. Just mess with the LFO and cutoff
