[testing] 2.9 beta3

Postby k7k0 » 24 Mar 2011, 07:05

Only for beta-testers spirits

What's new from 2.8?
  • Continous play between the loop & devices. Also there's a 'Performance mode', when you activate this mode (clicking this Image icon) all new renderings blends with current loop (you have to calibrate the transitions accordingly first)
  • A 'solo' button replaces the old "D / C / L" at the left of the Save button
  • New 'channel properties' view inside the Devices
  • Playback fix for android 2.3/3.0 users.
  • A 'dialer' appears at the top of the synth (2 or 4 bars), letting you scroll the piano roll horizontally and add notes that spans more than one bar
  • The final 2.9 version will bring a new device, keep tuned!

Steps
  • Install this .apk. This will replace the "Lite" version on your phone, no need to uninstall.
  • To return to the stable version just install this one again

Thanks in advance!

Seba, I'm a little confused with how to use the "Performance Mode" function. It doesn't really seem to change much. What am I missing? Can you or Juan give me some more info on this function?

Also, the vu meter in the device effect panel (i open a device and tap the fx burton) doesn't seem to be actively registering a level.

Other than that, I'm really digging this beta. I like the layout change of the device effects panel and the bar numbering change is very nice (i.e. 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4).

Looking forward to that new device!

Thanks, guys!

Difficult to explain with my english limitations!
Enter into a loop, press play, don't stop it. Then switch to the devices (Synth, drums, etc.) you will notice that the sound does not stops. Now make modifications to the loop or the devices and hit Save. Instead of replacing the sound, now it should continue the looping, it feels like a live "performance".

If you understood me, and you've been able to use it, please give me a short way to explain it better!!!

Great work on the features/interface. Like SpareRib I really like the new device fx interface. I didn't notice any problems other than the VU meter but that was already mentioned. Looking forward to the 2.9 stable version

Absolutely awesome dudes, I love the fx button so you can add compression and effects and sort out levels in the loop itself, without having to exit! brilliant!

Elementarally, it is so amazing to be able to stretch notes across the bar! Your skills are immense! Can't wait for this to be a full feature, I've still got to get used to it, but wow!
I also like the new interface inside the loop too! Looks even more professional!

Yours forever gratefully danny
