i need help on making a specific sound

I know you guys heard 'Like Toy Soldiers' by Eminem. I'm trying to get exactly or similar to the drums that sound. Its like a military-ish sound I guess... I bet I got you confused. Just find the instrumental on YouTube, or if ya know what I mean, HELP! Btw, the drum I'm talking about it, it just stands out. Trust me.

I don't listen to Eminem. Nothing against the guy, but it's just not my thing.

So, I don't know the drum sound about which you're asking. However, I can still *maybe* help a bit.

First of all, if you're saying it sounds like a "military," I'd maybe start with either an acoustic set or the Nashville set. Add heavier than normal FX on a kick drum (but don't go overboard), and probably nothing on the snare. Play around with the pitch of the individual drums, as well.

Now, I don't know if you're talking ONE drum sound in particular, i.e. the snare only, or the kick only, so again, I'm not sure how much this may help. I'm hoping, though, that this will get you started.

I would prolly add the parametric eq effect and raise the frequency to the max and lower the bandwidth to the minimum.
